Earshot Jazz and Nonsequitur’s Wayward Music Series are pleased to present the world premiere of this multimedia performance created by the Tiptons Sax Quartet in collaboration with Latin American duo Correo Aereo and digital artist Jing ‘Jude’ Dai, and directed by Madeleine Sosin.Inspired by Riane Eisler’s book ‘The Chalice & The Blade’, based on the archeological work of Maria Gimbutas & many other scholars, ‘Mujer O Bruja’ / ‘Woman or Witch’, draws us into rich sonic and visual worlds. Of remembrance of our forgotten ancient past, of a world Goddess cosmology based upon birth, life, death and re-generation, connected deeply with Nature and our own true nature AS nature within the web of life. Of the effects of Dominator systems, the Mexican/American border, a cabaret of witches, bees and a Mayan heroine.
